Dr. Eric Rosenberg
Specialist in Acupuncture Orthopedics and Physical Medicine
Dr. Eric Rosenberg DACM, L.Ac. is a licensed and nationally board-certified acupuncturist with a passion for healing and relieving pain. With a patient-centered approach, he strives to improve the health and well-being of individuals suffering from injuries and chronic pain. Dr. Rosenberg's expertise lies in influencing the body at a deep neurophysiological level, effectively relaxing soft tissues and alleviating pain and discomfort.
His treatment philosophy incorporates a fusion of Western medicine principles, anatomy, and the traditional acupuncture points and meridians. By employing techniques such as trigger point needling, motor point needling with electro-acupuncture, and hands-on manual therapies, he embraces an integrative approach, educating his patients about the synergies between Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Rosenberg's fascination with acupuncture began after completing his undergraduate studies in Psychology at San Francisco State University. Seeking relief for his own prior injuries, he discovered an acupuncturist who would become his mentor, propelling him to pursue further education in Integrative Medicine.
His journey led him to the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, where he obtained a Master's of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine, delving into the fundamentals of TCM. During a transformative study abroad experience in China, working in a hospital setting, Dr. Rosenberg witnessed the immense potential in blending Eastern and Western medicine. His passion for pain management and treating acute pain with acupuncture flourished during a subsequent four-month internship at the Henan University of TCM in Zhengzhou, China, where he completed over 500 clinical hours in Orthopedics.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge, Dr. Rosenberg pursued his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of TCM in San Francisco. This advanced program enriched his skills in orthopedic assessment and the treatment of myofascial pain. Throughout his career, he has actively sought opportunities to collaborate with other medical professionals in integrative settings, working with Physical therapists, Medical Doctors and Chiropractors to further enhance his treatment methodologies and foster optimal outcomes for his patients.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Eric loves to explore the scenic trails of the Pacific Northwest, riding his bicycle around Portland, and shares quality moments with his beloved family and two adorable chihuahua pups. Additionally, he enjoys making music, which adds a touch of creativity to his life outside of the clinic.
