Manual Therapy

Manual therapy refers to a hands-on approach to treating musculoskeletal and neurophysiological conditions. It involves skilled manipulation and mobilization of the joints and soft tissues. It aims to: Reduce pain and muscle tension, improve joint mobility, and promote tissue healing.

Common manual therapy techniques include joint and soft tissue mobilizations, myofascial release, cupping, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching to target muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.

Trigger Point/ Dry Needling

Trigger point therapy/ Dry needling is a therapeutic technique that involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points in muscles known as trigger points. Trigger points are hyper-irritable knots or bands of contracted muscle fibers that can cause local or referred pain and discomfort.

Dry needling may also affect the central nervous system. It can improve blood flow and promote the release of natural pain-relieving substances like endorphins, relieving pain throughout the body.
